It is so hard not to be sucked into the vortex of politics. I will try to conclude on a lighter note.

The Donald is pulling a different kind of wool over our eyes than most candidates.Theirs are filled with PC (political correctness). His is filled with PK (aka puke). He is being the arrogant, egotistical, in your face candidate that appeals to all of the angry people in our world and their are many of them. Just watch the news.

He is the tough guy reality show abuser mostly talking nonsense or hurtfulness. Not to mention his narcissism has built many brands, not all of which were exactly successful. So for now he is the side show in the political circus—a big mouth but a very small man—with very few realistic ideas. Actually none at all.

The old joke was "How do you make money in a casino?" And the answer was "Own it!" He couldn't even make that work.

But the scary thing is when his star fades from view who will fill the void? No one so far! And that my friends is very sad at such an important juncture in our history and our world.

Undeniably, America needs to start winning again, but we will not be lead by a bully pulpit or any of the people in the race.

Here are some laughs:

According to a new poll, Jeb Bush saw a 6% drop in support after the first debate, but experts say he still has a shot because he is "likable" and "qualified." Then Donald Trump said, "Weird, the opposite is working for me."

Trump recently said he won't eat Oreos anymore because the company moved to Mexico. Then Chris Christie said, "Does that mean I can start dipping them in salsa?"

Kinda sums things up.

that we don't have a credible candidate for the highest office of the land come 2016. We have some intelligent people, some interesting people, some quirky people, some dynasty named people, and some jerky people BUT we don't have one that deserves to be President of the good ole US of A!

None would be elected in a High School GO run.

Time will tell, but let's hope someone comes out of the woodwork and convinces us they can run our government better. So far, I am neither impressed nor convinced.

The leaders in both parties leave much to be desired. I call them loss leaders!

what it would b like to leave your home and most of your possessions behind to flee for your life. Imagine what it would b like to leave family and friends behind to flee for your life. Imagine what it would b like to cross dangerous passageways or waterways on foot or in flimsy crafts to flee for your life.

Imagine arriving at your destination in Greece, Germany, France, or other European countries. Tired, hungry, penniless, and just wanting to find a safe haven, a warm bed, a job, and a better life.

And not finding any of that as the less than welcoming countries have not yet set up their Welcome Wagon. And the UN is no where to be found—as usual. And other humanitarian aid is lagging far behind.

What do you do? Where do you go? How do you get there? Forget The Donald's Mexican wall, which he will get Mexico to pay for rest assured. He is irrelevant and irreverent. His wall will topple down soon all over his ill-coiffed head.

There is an epidemic flowing throughout Europe as those from war torn countries are seeking asylum, some drowning in their efforts, others living under animal-like conditions, all struggling and suffering large.

It is a tragedy of grand proportion, and like Hitler's Germany we appear to be turning a blind eye, despite being in our all empowering information age.

It is so very sad and someone, many someones, need to step up and address it now, before we have another Holocaust of a different kind to memorialize.

God bless the refugees all over the world. Thank God we are not among them—yet!

Apropos of yesterdays post I must admit the only positive part of my continuous aching and painful back was my handicapped parking pass. It expired July 31.

I will admit that the temptation was there to renew it claiming continued back pain. I overrode that temptation, as I felt others needed those spots far more than me, I would be lying, not
appreciating my recovery, and most of all karma can be a real bitch sometimes.

I am proud to have taken the high road—the one least traveled having done the right thing.

So next you get a handicapped spot you know who to thank. Personally, i thank Dr. Qi.

It has been about 6 weeks since my last acupuncture appointment. In all, I believe I had 11 treatments.

Keep in mind that I was in agony prior to starting acupuncture—hunched over, in constant pain, and using so much ice to numb the pain that my back was black and blue—so much so that Dr. Qi did not want to use a heat lamp initially during the acupuncture treatment.

I have been pain free all summer long. Today I played basketball for 15 minutes and then walked a mile in the blistering heat. Absolutely no pain—not even a twinge.

It is a wonder and a blessing to behold. I am very appreciative.

If you have any pain anywhere call Dr. Qi at 561 303 6943 for a consultation. He is the best there is and very kind as well.

and every once in a rare while i find one:

30 years after a doctor saved a premature baby at birth, the doctor found himself trapped in a burning car. That baby, now a paramedic, saved the doctor's life.
