it is because I am chewing on hard to digest information.

I saw the videos of the police acting less than polite or even kind or even police-like.

Those who protect us need to do just that. Treating people like cattle is unacceptable and i hope the bastards lose their jobs. You abused your uniforms and your badges and for that there is no forgiveness.

Not to mention the deputy today that got 12 years in prison for I don't even know what to say other than even her siblings were against her. Shoot em up drugs shoot em up fellow officers.

I think some who go into mental health counseling need it. Ditto for some of those in law enforcement. Back in the day rigorous psych testing was imposed. I don't see much in the way of that today.

Let us try to see a brighter tomorrow despite the clouds that hang heavy over South Fkorida today.

South Florida resumed its winter identity. Low 80's all week projected.

Thank you Gd.

That's it, I'm moving to Florida!

Actually, I did that in 1973 or was it 2 because it was so freezing in Yorktown Heights, NY.

What happened to global warming? Was Al wrong once again? I mean he didn't really invent the internet all by his lonesome, but could have exaggerated GW too. Or is it Brian Williams who heaped on the heat, while now taking it?

Perhaps we should ask Boston, Chicago and all points Midwest or Northeast or Israel all of which are snowed in. Could GW have been a snow job?

I just don't know, but what I do know is that my house is freezing and if we turn on the heat the house will smell like a rotisserie chicken oven, a fried cat, a urinal, or perhaps D all of the above.

Stay warm and toasty,

Bye for Now,

This morning, before i left the house I couldn't find my smart phone. It has become an every few days occurrence.

However, this particular morning it was no where to be found. I was both puzzled and late.

"Oh shoot," I said to myself, "I must have left it outside in the backyard when i was reading in the sun yesterday." For those of you who live in the Northeast or Midwest there is still a sun in selective locations from time to time.

Sure enough, the phone was on the chair in the backyard, screen up. And last nite and this morning it rained heavily. From "time to time" was a key phrase in the last sentence.

In any event, I brought my soggy cell into the house, and wiped off the raindrops. And it worked. No problem at all. Amazing really. When you think of all that goes into a cell phone and that it can withstand a deluge of water, it is mighty impressive.

So if you call me and hear "glub, glub, glup, hang on a minute, and u will hear me loud, clear, and dry.

Bye for Now,

ps and please remind me to take my phone in from the rain... preferably before it rains.

That, my friends, is the title of my next book. It is based on the fact that the people I coach are just too stressed to visit.

While the Gurus today preach and teach mindfulness, my "hood" is mindless in the sense they are just too busy to see the roses, let alone smell them. Where is everyone running to? What makes you so, so, oh so busy?

I send people emails saying "Go to Morakami Gardens in Boca," and they don't respond, as if I am speaking a foreign language. I say, "Let's meet up," and they say," Next week or the week after."

I say, "Enjoy the moment," and they say "Next week or the week after."

The two biggest reasons for such stress are clear. They are earning a living and raising kids. Noble goals to be sure, but when do the adults get a turn? When does this group of forty somethings get to play?

Soon I hope and sooner if you come visit soon!

Bye for Now,

ps The following is not a paid commercial or political ad but i do endorse this message. It's a whole new world order for better and for worse!

What impressed me most was that the basic blueprint for the park has remained the same all these years. Sure, they have added and subtracted, updated technology, etc. but the fundamental way the park operates, the way they offload and on load riders, most of the attractions in the Magic Kingdom, are pretty much the same as they were when we first visited in the late 60s.

Clearly, Walt and his staff sans lap tops, ipads and the like, were able to see into the future and create a timeless masterpiece of art that is like no other. And that means you too, Mickey and Minnie and all the gang.

Genius always impresses me.

Bye for Now,

ps For those of you who remember I am pleased that they got rid of the different colored tickets A-E, which often had to be replenished.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg confessed that she fell asleep at the State of the Union address because she had too much California wine at a justice dinner before hand, brought by Justice Anthony Kennedy.

Tony, with all due respect, please invite me next time and stop getting an 81-year-old lady drunk! Oops, I think I just lost my invite.

and if it isn't for some sad reason, I hope next years is!

Bye for Now,

ps Frankly, its never been one of my favorites. I don't love commercialized love. I think EVERYDAY needs to be Valentine's Day. Put that on your smart phone calendar.

I was saddened to see that the force behind Duffy's Sports Grill amazing growth, a favorite of ours, Paul Emmett, died today of cancer at 62.

I hate Cancerville, and always will.

Prayers for Mr. Emmett, a leader and icon in the restaurant business.

Two New jersey teens, looking to make extra money shoveling driveways, get stopped by police because they didn't have a $450 license to solicit services. Really?

Reclusive author of "To Kill a Mocking Bird," released a second book...50 years later. Really?

Look for mine in 2063. It will be a best seller. Really!

A Texas third grader was suspended from school because he told a friend he could make him disappear using a Hobbit-inspired ring of power. Really?

His father said, "...if he did I'm sure he would bring him right back! Really?

And I haven't even gotten to the International News! Stay tuned.

BUT some things do irritate me:

Why do people answer their phones just to say they can't talk now?

Why did a twenty something today cross the street when i had the right of way in my car, looking at his phone the whole way? He was oblivious to my vehicle about to run him over!

Why, particularly in South Florida, do drivers go from left lane sideways across three or four lanes to the right or vice versa, and expect others to just stop in their tracks to let them thru? Ever heard of a U-turn down the road?

Why do people in stores or other areas  block you, invade your space, or just stop in the middle of things, forcing you to find an alternative route?

Why do people ignore emails and texts forever when it is so simple to communicate in today's techno- world?

That's all for now, but I am sure i will think of more irritants. The key is not to let them bother us. As the saying goes "Don't sweat the small stuff...and it's all small stuff!"

Well, it's not all small stuff BUT much of it is, and we need to learn to just let it go. I am trying and some others, I'm sorry to say, are very trying.

and downsizing our office has consumed all of my time. After all, thirty years of crapolla requires too many hours of sorting, eliminating, discarding, packing, and unpacking, sorting, etc.

However, it is a positive experience of letting go, kinda like a fleet enema for stuff accumulated. Moving or not I encourage you to do the same.

Next up our house. Also thirty + years of accumulation. Talk next July lol!

I want to start an organization called "PACKRATS UNITE!"Let me know if u want to b a founding member.
