"There is no more important priority on your "to do" list than taking better care of you."

It took me till late October to follow my own advice. Since then I have doubled my walking to 4 miles almost every day and halved my food intake, avoided unhealthy stuff (for the most part) and lost almost 20 pounds.

So, I am repeating that message this New Year's day simply cause I have at least another 15 pounds to lose. Years ago I said, "I may not be able to prevent becoming an old man, but I can prevent becoming a fat old man." For the past few years I have not prevented that and am committed to doing that in 2014.

I encourage you to pick some simple health goals for your body and mind and get going—well before October!
