SO GLAD I COVERED MYSELF

by saying I wasn't a sports pundit. Happy for my prediction to be wrong.
I think they got the big guy in the gonads, or at least double teaming the heck out of him seemed to work.
I think I will stick to mindly matters from now on. Then again will they win in Indiana? Stay tuned. I need to consult a sports pundit.

ps Don't u find the repetitive commercials a bore?
pps As u can tell, I am feeling better from my "just a cold!"

I AM NOT A SPORTS PUNDIT

so I hope I am wrong, but i fear the Heat will lose tonight. They have not played like champs consistently this series and the 7 foot 2 guy just shovels them in like a machine. I say, hit him in the gonads—discreetly! Come to think of it, I think they tried that already.

That said, GO HEAT!

FROM THE ORANGE PEEL GAZETTE

the following funnies:

When a woman says "don't worry about it," you better worry about it.

I got this motor home for my wife..It was the best deal I ever made.

A man said his credit card was stolen but he decided not to report it because the thief was spending less than his wife did.

And remember, "A laugh is a smile that bursts."

Keep smiling and laughing no matter what.

IT IS DEFINITELY NOT ENCOURAGING

when your doctor says, "I've had the same virus you have for two months now!"

Hoping it is bacterial and the z pack will help.

TOMORROW

Let us remember those who have given their lives to defend our nation and our freedom.

Let us also remember Newtown Conn, the Boston Marathon, and those in Moore Oklahoma. So much tragedy—so senselessly.

Prayers as well for Cindy. She fought a long, hard Cancerville battle, with strength, courage, dignity and positivism. Sometimes that isn't quite enough to go the distance, but more than enough to keep going till the end.She is en route to Heaven tonight.

As Bernie Siegel, M.D., says "It's not about dying as we will all die.It is about how we live our life and how well we rise to the challenges." That is undeniably true. Strength to us all.

I READ TODAY

that Rep. Anthony Weiner of NYC of weiner texting fame, has learned his lesson and...is going to run for Mayor of NYC. REALLY?

I try really hard to not be judgmental, BUT in my mind, public officials need to be held to a higher standard than everyday folk. If someone in a power position betrays public trust while displaying piss poor judgment and sophomoric immaturities unbecoming a responsible adult, then their best shot should be as a partime correspondent on Fox news or the equivalent. Do you hear that General?

How's that for not being judgmental?

PRAYERS TO THOSE IN OAKLAHOMA

and other states that have been hit hard by furious storms.

Mother Nature can be a MF terrorist who hurts, mames, and kills innocent people.

Life is life threatening at times, and this is one of them.

STILL RECOVERING FROM MY

"just a cold" that has just been kicking my butt.

But I read an article in the AARP magazine that cites a research study that claims that most people lie an average of 11 times a week. That seemed very high to me. Of interest was that in a 10 week study, people reported feeling better mentally and physically when they lied less.

This raised 3 questions in my mind:
How do the researchers know that those who reported lying less were telling the truth?
How do they know that they were being honest about feeling better, especially those who were
  lying about lying less.
Have I been lying more lately, which is why I am feeling like crapolla?

I honestly don't know! TRUTH!!

AFTER ALL The SCHLEPPING

I came down with a  nasty head cold. But a cold is just a cold. Compared to the difficult and demanding stories Ronnie and I heard in Cancerville, it ain't nothin but a nuisance.

The old joke is that on average a cold lasts a week. if you take over the counter meds, it should run about 7 days.

WORDS WORTH READING

"Practice safe eating—always use condiments."

Four little words sum up what has lifted most successful individuals above the crowd.: a little bit more. They did all that was expected of them and a little bit more.

BEEN ON THE ROAD AGAIN

but finally home. Grandson's signing a letter of commitment for his football scholarship was today. Crazy grandparents drove 9 hours back and forth for a 10 minute (or was it nine) ceremony. Pride bank deposits all the way.

Hope you have some to report too.
