HOW CAN WE NOT CRY?

How can we not cry at the devastating news that 28 people were killed for no apparent reason today, 20 of them being elementary school children?

How can we not cry for the families—the parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins—of these children and adults?

How can we not cry for a world gone so wild, that people who are criminally insane can so easily obtain weapons of "mass destruction?"

How can we not cry when the unthinkable becomes a weekly event?

How can we not cry when for so many, in a microsecond of time, the holidays have become hell days of unfathomable pain and torment?

How can we not cry when the "terrorists" are us?

Maybe, as I age, I am just getting soft, but I for one needed to cry! How can we not?

Prayers to us all,

Bill
