In a room of 150 people at Gilda's Club workshop a woman sat down next to me. "What brings you here?" I asked. "My husband has lymphoma," she quietly answered.
So I immediately handed her one of my books and in our back and forth banter we became instant friends. Not sure where this will all lead, but I am sure to something positive and worthwhile.
So important to stretch beyond our shy comfort zone and reach out and touch someone. You just never know what opportunities await. Took me a long time to learn this, but glad I did.
Bye for Now,
Bill
