OCCUPY YOUR MIND NOT PUBLIC SPACE

When we went to the WTC in New York we passed by the park where the occupy people were camping out. I wasn't impressed for a  variety of reasons.

I don't know if that is the best way to protest. In my day, we marched—tens of thousands strong. We made our point and went home. We didn't take public space away from everyone. We didn't stink up the place with trash and excretions. We didn't create a spectacle—we created a spectacular statement that was heard. Most of the time it made a significant difference.

Time to go back to the future. Time for all those occupiers to occupy a job. Now that would be quite a protest statement, don't you know.

Bye For Now,

Bill
