Paraphrasing Bernie Siegel, M.D. in his groundbreaking book, "Love, Medicine and Miracles," he said something like, It is not about dying—we are all going to die. It is about living and meeting the challenges of life head-on. That's what it is all about.

That is truly what life is all about. In that regard no one rose the the challenges like Susan. She was the grand master and poster person for playing a poor hand well. She did it over and over again with a
strength and spirit that reflected her being a Brooklyn, New York gal who also had a warm and generous heart.

Nonetheless Dr. Siegel I am very sad she passed prematurely. She has no doubt taken her rightful place in Heaven, but we could have benefited from her presence here for quite a bit longer. We just don't get to pick, sad to say. And sometimes strength, determination, perseverance and even moxie, while noble, are not sufficient.

Susan believed we keep coming back to finish up what we didn't deal with this time and the previous times around. She felt her suffering in this life would allow her next one to be easier. I really hope she is correct.

Bye For Now,
